Surviving in the Wild Social Media Project

Surviving in the wild is all about surviving in the world when you struggle with your mental health. It is a social media project that has been created with young people by York Mind and funded by Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership to try and improve digital access to mental health resources for young people. Topics include Surviving in the Wild with Stigma; Surviving in the Wild with Anxiety; Surviving in the Wild in School; Surviving in the Wild with Neurodiversity; and Surviving in the Wild with Depression or Grief.

Introduction Video

An introduction from Chris about what to expect from Surviving in the Wild, including what sort of mental health information you may gain from the channel, but also why it is so important to get reliable mental health information out there for young people!

Surviving in the Wild with Stigma

Chris chats with Liam and Ben, co-creation and engagement professionals, all about stigma around mental health and reaching out for support. They discuss stigma through the lens of their lived experience as well as their professional experience to explore why we feel it; how it feels and why people feel it differently.
